Since September 2015, all children who attend Bright Sparks Nursery will have a personal online learning journey to record their observations and upload photos. This is in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, to build up a record of the child’s learning.
For current children you will be familiar with this as the paper version of a learning journey. We will be moving onto a system called Tapestry, which is hosted in the UK on secure servers.
Tapestry allows parents / carers to follow your child’s individual progress closely allowing you to reflect upon their achievements. Tapestry also allows parents to add comments giving staff the opportunity to find out which activities your child has really enjoyed and also include any learning they do at home.
You will have secure access (via email address and passwords) to your child’s learning journey, along with guidelines showing how to use the system. E-safety is extremely important to Bright Sparks Nursery therefore we ask you to sign an agreement to show that you understand and agree to our guidelines.
We have found tapestry to be very useful and user friendly if you do have any concerns or questions please do not hesitate to speak to our Nursery Manager (Abi) or Deputy Manager (Rachel).
